IT launched the career of everyone from Katie Price to Kelly Brook, but over the years, Page 3 has also opened doors to Hollywood.

Keeley Hazell, who started out as as a model for The Sun, has made it to the big time with a role on Apple TV's smash hit Ted Lasso and made headlines this week after splitting from its star, Jason Sudeikis.

The 35-year-old has certainly made a splash across the pond, appearing in other blockbusters like Horrible Bosses 2 and bagging the same agent as Meghan Markle.

But she's not the only Page 3 star who has managed to end up on our cinema or TV screens.

From two models who popped up in James Bond to one who appeared in the 'worst football movie ever made', here we look at the Page 3 stars who have chased the Hollywood dream.

Gillian De Terville

Gillian made history as the first black Page 3 model for The Sun in the 1980s.

She left glamour modelling shortly after to become an actress.

Her first role after changing careers was as one of the Bond girls in Octopussy 1983 alongside Roger Moore.

After that, she went on to be in the TV series Hideaway as Jenny and then hosted The Price Is Right for three years.

Corinne Russell

Following in the footsteps of her fellow Glamour model and landed a role in Octopussy.

While Corinne wasn't seen fully on screen, she is one of the silhouettes dancing in the opening credits.

She also landed roles in Absolute Beginners, alongside Patsy Kensit, and the cult classic Highlander, which starred James Bond actor Sean Connery.

Her final film part was a minor character in Bolero, which was a box office flop.

Geri Halliwell

Before making her name as Ginger Spice, Geri took her kit off to pose for Page 3 in the early 1990s.

But outside of her incredibly successful music career with the Spice Girls, she's also taken a number of acting roles.

She appeared in the 2004 gross-out comedy Fat Slags alongside Sophie Thompson, Naomi Campbell and Hugh Dennis, and later in Crank: High Voltage alongside her pal John Damon, who was a professional baseball player.

She's never been far away from our TV screens either, with time guest judging on The X Factor, Australia's Got Talent and BBC1's All Together Now.

Linda Lusardi

Page 3 favourite Linda is no stranger to acting on stage and has also managed to hop across the pond for some film work.

After starting out with roles in The Bill, Hollyoaks and Brookside, she moved on to bigger pastures with flicks Snappers, The Zero Imperative and Consuming Passions alongside Vanessa Redgrave.

She also co-starred with acting legend Christopher Lee in 1988's Olympus Force.

Her latest film work was The Krays: Dead Man Walking in 2018, which also featured EastEnders' Rita Simons and Leslie Grantham.

Currently, she's mainly known for her TV work and appearing in pantomimes at Christmas.

Samantha Fox

Samantha has been used to the cameras since she first entered modelling competitions aged 16, so switching from photos to film was no big deal.

She had a minor role in The Match which starred Richard E Grant and Ian Holm and appeared in 7 Cases.

Her latest film work saw her appear in Sharknado 5: Global Swarming, which also featured cameos from diver Tom Daley, fellow Page 3 alum Katie Price and Grease star Olivia Newton-John.

It wasn't just movies in America that she had roles in, having also guest-starred in CBS sitcom Charles in Charge.

However, talented Samantha is best know for her music and has three studio albums under her belt.

Donna Ewin

After starting modelling at 17, Donna mixed things up with a move into acting.

Her first role came in 1998's Bedrooms and Hallways, which featured Lord of the Rings star Hugo Weaving.

The following year, she also appeared in Last Christmas and, reportedly, featured in the infamous orgy scene in Stanley Kubrick's big hit Eyes Wide Shut.

In a slight departure from hanging out with the film's lead, Tom Cruise, she landed a role in 2000 in Harry Enfield's Kevin and Perry Go Large.

Lucy Pinder

Lucy caught the attention of a photographer while lounging on a beach in 2003 and became a Page 3 girl.

She appeared on FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in the World three times before she decided to go into movies.

Her first job was in 2012 when she appeared in the film Strippers Vs Werewolves and later bagged a role in Age of Kill alongside Spandau Ballet's Martin Kemp.

Lucy also popped up in Dangerous Game, which has rather unfortunately been dubbed "the worst football movie ever made".

She's still appearing in films now and will be seen next in Nightmare on 34th Street, which is currently in post-production, as well as The Bystanders.
