**ANNOUNCEMENT**
- Plan to be fully vaccinated against measles at least 2 WEEKS before you travel. If your trip is less than 2 weeks away, you should still get a dose of MMR vaccine.
- Visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Website Plan for Travel, and the sandiegocounty.gov/measles for more information.
Travel vaccine resources and clinics are available in San Diego to keep you safe for your out-of-country destinations.Please look over immunization requirements and/or recommendations for your travel itinerary. There are several good sources of information, including reliable websites which offer up-to-date, accurate travel immunization information.
- The first is theCenters for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Traveler’s Health site, oryou can call CDC's information line at (800) 232-4636 [1-800-CDC-INFO] weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CDC also has information about the most inquired travel vaccines such as yellow fever vaccine on their Travelers' Health webpage.
- Contact your healthcare provider and ask for a travel consultation.
- If you do not have a healthcare provider, contact 2-1-1 San Diego to locate a provider near you.
- County residents can call 866-358-2966 option 5 to speak with a public health nurse for information about the vaccines or other protective measures for travel outside the United States.
The County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) Public Health Centers do not provide the vaccines needed for travel. Below is a list of providers offering certain vaccines for travel. Please call ahead or check their website to locate the necessary vaccines you need before visiting a clinic.
All providers listed have the CA State Uniform Stamp for yellow fever issued by the State of California Department of Health Services.
